3RD ANNUAL PRO-LINE SURF CITY CLASSIC - AUGUST 28th and 29th 2010
Thanks to all the racers who attended the 2010 3rdAnnual Pro-Line Surf City Classic!
This was the biggest event to date for OC/RC Raceway with 215 racers and 29 heats of action.
Jimmy Babcock was the Race Director for the weekend and ran the program without a hitch. All races were ran on time and we got through the qaulifying rounds in around 12 hours. That is very impressive considering there were almost 90 races on Saturday.
Over 4 Large was on the line in the pro classes and the racing was as close as we have ever seen. Results will be posted soon.
Jared Tebo was the big winner on the day taking home 2 event main wins in Mod 4 wheel and Mod 2 wheel. Great work, Jared! Cavalieri took the win in Pro Mod Truck and Kortz was untouchable in Expert 1/8th scale.
All in all, the best weekened of racing our Track has ever seen. Thanks to Pro-Line, Team Losi, Sticky Kicks and all our Sponsors for an awesome event! Can't wait for 2011.

2ND ANNUAL SURF CITY CLASSIC - AUGUST 29th and 30th 2009
Thanks to all the participants who attended the 2009 2nd Annual Pro-Line Surf City Classic!
We had a great weekend of racing with over 100 racers and 16 heats of action.
Over 4 grand was on the line in the pro classes and the racers did not disappoint. The racing action was intense with finishes within seconds and several lead changes throughout the races.
Ryan Cavalieri was the big winner on the day taking home 4 sweet trophies and 1700.00 in cold hard cash. Great job Ryan!
The races went super smooth and a huge thanks to Charlie Suangka for his great work on the mic and keeping the program rolling along all day. Great work, Charlie!

The dust has settled and everyone that attended will tell you that the 1st Annual Surf City Classic at OC/RC was a complete success. OC/RC saw 155 entries and 19 action packed heats. Thanks to Jeremy Felles for running an amazing program and keeping the race day flowing.
$3,000.00 was on the line for the Expert Modified classes with the big winner's for the day being Ryan Cavalieri and OC/RC local Steven Hartson both of Team Associated.
The 2wd Mod Buggy A-Main had to have been the most exciting race of the day. "RC", who was TQ for the race, made a rare bobble early in the race which allowed Hartson to make his move and take over the lead. Steven then laid down some flawless laps to check out and grow his lead to a half of a lap. "RC" had a strong push at the end but Hartson was too much on this day and took the win. Great job Steven !
